Wine for the Mind
October 23, 2020
Our 5th Annual event, Wine for the Mind, was a huge success!! We raised over $13,000! It was held at The Coffey Barn in Cleveland, TN on Friday, October 18, 2019. The fundraiser benefits the programs of Love Nancy, including Love Nancy CAREavan, Fun with Friends, and Memory Makers. At Wine for the Mind, our fundraising activities included a silent and live auction. Entertainment was provided by Randy Steele and Friends.

Pajamas for Your Mama Pajama Drive
Every April 1-30
Our annual Pajama Drive, Pajamas for Your Mama, benefits the Love Nancy CAREavan Program. Donation boxes are placed at businesses in the community during the month of April for the collection of pj’s, housecoats, slippers, socks, toiletries, and blankets for women & men. Nancy loved pajamas and we wanted all people living with Alzheimer’s disease and progressive memory impairments to enjoy the comfort of these items!

Walk to End Alzheimer's
Fall 2020
Love Nancy began walking in the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s in the fall of 2008. We started with a team of 6 and have grown to 25-30 that walk each year! We have been named Top Individual Fundraiser and Top Team Fundraiser several years in a row and are a part of the Champions Club. It is one of our favorite activities to raise money and support the Alzheimer’s Association!

Memory Makers
Ongoing
Memory Makers will provide caregivers and their loved one’s living with Alzheimer’s disease and memory impairments the opportunity to take part in a memory making activity. Activities can include: dinner and a movie, rounds of golf, overnight trips, and many more! This unique program hopes to offer caregivers and their loved one’s, with an early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and memory impairments, the opportunity to spend time together. While the diagnosis of a memory impairment can be devastating, Memory Makers hopes to provide a respite from the disease. This will be an ongoing program with the opportunity for additions. Memory Makers launched in December 2017.
CAREavan
Ongoing
The Love Nancy CAREavan Program provides CARE goods and a social hour respite to caregivers and their loved ones living with Alzheimer’s disease and progressive memory impairments. Love Nancy CAREavan packages and delivers items to Assisted Living Facilities, Nursing Home Facilities, Home Health Agencies, Churches, and individual residences. CARE good packages can include: pajamas, slippers, socks, pull-ups/under garments, adult wipes, toiletries, laundry detergent and a laundry bag, headache relievers, coffee, and tea. CAREavan is a year round program and also offers 'fill-in' items such as, razors, undergarments, etc. Meals are also offered. These CARE goods are intended to meet the needs of both caregivers and their loved ones. The social hour provides a respite to caregivers by offering coffee, tea, and food, and it gives them the opportunity to receive support and share experiences.

Fun with Friends
Ongoing
Fun with Friends was launched in 2016. Fun with Friends is a friendship group that provides community-based activities to young adults with special needs that include: employment services, volunteer opportunities, physical fitness, and social activities. Fun with Friends benefits 16 families in the Bradley County, Cleveland, and Hamilton County communities.

Munchies for Mom
May, 2012
The Love Nancy Team held a bake sale, Munchies for Mom, to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association's Walk to End Alzheimer's in May, 2012. It took place at Sara's Hallmark Shop around Mother's Day. It was a success!
